Jaeyeon Shin explores the layering of memory and time through installation works utilizing augmented reality, virtual reality, and new media. By combining physical and digital media, she spatially reconstructs personal experiences. With a background in sculpture, Shin constructs her work by connecting the temporality of sculpture with the materiality of the virtual. Her practice spans AR-based sculpture, interactive installations, and custom software, aiming to expand the dimensions of space and time. By dissolving the boundaries between reality and unreality and visualizing memory, her work invites viewers to reinterpret their own memories and temporal experiences.

She graduated from Sunhwa Arts Middle and High School, studied Sculpture and Arts & Cultural Management at Hongik University, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the Graduate School of Metaverse at KAIST. At the Future Space Lab, she is conducting research on spatial computing and the design of technologically integrated future environments.
